Community Service Events Planned for March 25

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University’s Community Service
Learning Center will hold its 4th Annual Campus to Community service project
on March 25. More than 300 WSU faculty, staff and students are expected to
participate in this year’s events.

Campus to Community will include 24 community service projects located in
Pullman and surrounding areas. Volunteers are needed to chaperone the Teen
Center ski trip to Silver Mountain and to clean, paint and refurbish the Gladish
Community Center. Other projects being offered include indoor spring cleaning
at Pioneer Square Apartments for retired seniors, and tree planting along the
Palouse River. A few projects are being offered the Thursday and Friday
before the main service effort, including story reading to young children in
local elementary schools.

The community service projects are available to all WSU faculty, staff and
students. A list of projects and registration forms are available in the CSLC,
located in the Compton Union Building, Room 322.

Registration forms should be submitted to the CSLC office by March 23.
Campus to Community T-shirts will be given to the first 300 participants.

Projects will be held in the morning and afternoon on March 25. Participants
can choose from either of these times. Volunteer check-in will be held near the
main entrance of the CUB and will begin at 8:30 a.m. for morning projects and
12:30 p.m. for afternoon projects. Transportation to and from project sites will
be available for those who need it.
