Four Candidates to Interview for MSS Directorship

PULLMAN, Wash. — Interviews of four candidates for the directorship of Washington State
University’s Office of Multicultural Student Services begin this week, according to WSU
The candidates are:
— Marie Mendoza, assistant to the provost for minority affairs, University of Denver. She will
interview May 18.
— Jorge Ramirez, former student development director, Pierce College, Lakewood/Puyallup. He
will interview June 1.
— Ronald Woolfolk, assistant dean/director, Bridge/Transition Program, University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. He will interview June 2.
— Steve Nakata, interim director, WSU Multicultural Student Services. He will interview June 4.
Each candidate will take part in a campus open forum in WSU’s Compton Union Building.
Mendoza’s will be 1:45-2:50 p.m. May 18 in CUB Room 123. Ramirez’s will be 10:40-11:45 a.m. June
1 in CUB Room 123. Woolfolk’s will be 1:45-2:50 p.m. June 2 in CUB Room 123. Nakata’s will be
1:45-2:50 p.m. June 4 in CUB Room 212.
As part of the interview process, the candidates will each meet with vice presidents, vice
provosts, deans, directors and representatives of WSU commissions on the Status of Women,
the Status of Minorities, and the Status of Individuals with Disabilities.
