WRC Faculty Colloquium Series Continues

PULLMAN, Wash.- Richelle Allen-King will discuss “A Woman’s Place is Out Standing in Her Field: A Hydrogeologic Perspective,” as the Washington State University Women’s Resource Center Faculty Colloquium continues next week. Her talk is scheduled for 4:10 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Compton Union Building Cascade Room.
Allen-King is an assistant professor of geology, specializing in organic ground water contamination. She is the current president of the Palouse Chapter of the Association for Women in Science.
The presentation will provide personal examples of how one woman approaches the academic career track in a discipline that is male-dominated. She will discuss examples from her experience in research, teaching and service.
