A celebratory reception for College of Arts & Sciences Dean Daryll DeWald, who is leaving to become chancellor of the WSU Spokane campus, is scheduled for 3:30-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE), room 518, in Pullman.
The free event, called Ask a Poet / Write a Poem, will be at the Bundy Reading Room in Avery Hall and provides participants with an opportunity to learn about poetry and about Marshall’s experience as the state’s official Poet Laureate.
The fair highlights books published throughout the year and is open to everyone. Festivities include steep discounts of 20-50% on all titles, drawings for free books, and complimentary refreshments.
Sonos wows audiences around the world with their breathtaking musical performances using 68 chromatically tuned bells. Each bell plays a single note, allowing the ensemble to cover more than five octaves by ringing, slamming, plucking, malleting, shaking, damping, and bouncing bells individually.
Academic Showcase and the GPSA Research Exhibition are celebrations of original scholarship, research, and creative expression by members of the WSU community. Abstract submissions are being accepted through Jan. 22, 2018.
