The Information Technology Services VoIP team will be upgrading the WSU Pullman campus VoIP servers this Friday, May 13, beginning at 10 p.m. Both VoIP and analog phone service will experience a number of short outages across the Pullman campus occurring overnight Friday into early Saturday morning. Please note that there is the possibility of intermittent outages over the entire weekend as part of the upgrade process. Any calls in progress will drop during the intermittent outages.
Please be aware that elevators phones and the area refuge phones will be experiencing intermittent outages Friday night and perhaps over the entire weekend during this upgrade as well. Those working during these hours who may need phone service are advised to carry a cell phone. Remember that cell phones will not be able to call or be called from on-campus phones during the outages.
Phones may reboot and will re-register to the server as part of the upgrade. On Monday morning, if a phone is not registered, please cycle the power on the phone by unplugging and plugging it back in. If a phone continues to have issues after cycling the power a second time, contact the ITS CougTech Help Desk.
If you have any questions please contact the ITS CougTech Help Desk at 335-HELP (4357) or CougTech@wsu.edu
