A hands-on workshop to provide intermediate skills to users of the WSU high performance computing (HPC) systems with a focus on creating effective workflows and pipelines using job dependencies.
Some of the topics will include:
-Compiling and installing applications
-Scripting job submissions
-Job dependencies with qsub
-Job arrays
-Distributing tasks with pbsdsh
-Creating pipelines
This workshop assumes that the attendees have experience with Linux and are comfortable navigating through a terminal environment and scripting. We will be using a combination of conditions, loops, variables and string parsing within bash scripts.
