“Behind the Magic at Disney” event!

What’s “Behind the Magic at Disney”? Now you can know—through an upcoming event with WSU alumnus and Disney Executive Director of Enterprise Architecture, Matt Estes on Sept 20 from 4 – 5:30 p.m.  at the Honors Lounge on the Pullman campus. Estes’ focus will be on the multitude of opportunities for students of ANY major to pursue Professional Disney Internships ( http://profinterns.disneycareers.com/en/default/ ). Estes is “responsible for a team of Principal Architects who develop architectures across business, application, data, infrastructure and security, as well as geographical and organizational boundaries that use various architecture methods to guide the organization toward an available, cost-effective, and secure business-technology ecosystem”, according to Disney. He graduated from WSU in 1992 with a BA in Music Performance, Theory and Composition.

This collaborative event is sponsored by the Academic Success and Career Center, Carson College of Business, Murrow College of Communication, Honors College and Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture. Estes’ visit to campus will include arranged visits to each of the sponsoring colleges, speaking to classes, touring campus, meeting with college faculty, staff, deans and departmental directors. He plans to also connect with the music department as well.

We are particularly interested in having students who have had Disney Internship experience attend, to provide an opportunity for others who are interested to meet them and ask questions. There will be a Q & A session at the end of the event for students attending.
