Grant funds expansion of indigenous digital archiving

By Nella Letizia, WSU Libraries PULLMAN, Wash. – Representatives from indigenous archives across the country are at Washington State University through Thursday for planning and training on a free, open-source platform to help tribal communities share their digital cultural heritage.

March 6: Faculty workshop on Open Textbook Library

PULLMAN, Wash. – A free workshop about the Open Textbook Library and use of open educational resources (OERs) will be presented for the Washington State University community 9-10:30 a.m. Monday, March 6, in the Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation (CDSC) on the fourth floor of Holland Library.

Jan. 20 reception: Animal art exhibit runs through May

By Nella Letizia, WSU Libraries PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University veterinary student Zena Hemmen painted a tribute to the victims of one of the country’s most horrific animal massacres. Called “49 Lives,” the painting shows exotic animals like those killed in 2011 in Zanesville, Ohio.

Jan. 5: Live demonstration of new course reserves system

By Nella Letizia, WSU Libraries PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University Libraries will hold a live demonstration of a new course reserves system, ExLibris Leganto, 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Jan. 5, in Terrell Library 20E. A pilot of the system will be introduced in select courses for spring semester, with a campuswide rollout in the summer.
