The Open Enrollment period for 2012 begins November 1 and will run through November 30. This is the one time each year when you can make changes to your medical and/or dental plans or add an eligible family member to your coverage. This is also the time to enroll/re-enroll in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and/or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP). Enrollment changes become effective January 1, 2012.
If you do not want to make a 2012 change in Medical/Dental plans, you need do nothing, and your current plan will continue.
2012 plan year changes include: premium changes, some changes to coverage, and the addition of three new Consumer-Directed Health Plans (CDHP) with a corresponding Health Savings Account (HSA). The WSU Benefits Fair for the Pullman campus is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011. It will be held at the WSU CUB Junior Ballroom from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The Open Enrollment website provides information regarding other statewide Benefit Fairs, as well as a schedule for Information Sessions that HRS Pullman will be providing.
