Give blood Oct. 22 and 23

Because the red blood cells obtained from donors last only 42 days, the community needs a steady and regular collection in order to safeguard an adequate supply. The Inland Northwest Blood Center is holding a blood drive for the WSU campus 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 22 – 23 in the CUB Ballroom. The Palouse area needs to recover from shortages of “O” and “A” type blood, which are the most common blood types.

This drive is a biannual event sponsored by the Rho Nu Prenursing Club, the American Pharmacists’ Association group on campus, the WSU Health and Wellness Center, the Air Force ROTC and the Farmhouse fraternity. Walk-in donors are welcome. All donors must present photo ID at donation time.
