The Fawley Cup, the annual Gonzaga vs. WSU men’s club rowing rivalry will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Cougar home course, Wawawai landing on the Snake River. Directions can be found here.
After a third place finish for the varsity eight-man at the San Diego Crew Classic and a strong showing at Washington last weekend, the WSU men are looking to earn their second Fawley Cup in the last 20 years.
For the first time in many years, the WSU varsity eight beat Gonzaga in two out of three head races in the fall. The junior varsity eight is looking to beat Gonzaga for the first time in at least 15 years.
The novices are eager to avenge their loss of .8 seconds last year and capture the first novice victory against Gonzaga since 2007.
