The College of Liberal Arts will honor faculty and staff for outstanding accomplishments in scholarship, teaching and service at a ceremony 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the Honors College Lounge.
Award recipients include:
* Monica Kirkpatrick Johnson (sociology), Mid-Career Achievement in Scholarship
* Julie Kmec (sociology) and Jeffrey Savage (music), Early Achievement in Scholarship
* Michael Myers (philosophy), William F. Mullen Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching
* Martha Cottam (political science), Excellence in Graduate Teaching and Mentoring
* Samantha Swindell (psychology), Excellence in Teaching by a Clinical Faculty Member or Instructor
* Eugene Rosa (sociology), Excellence in Professional Service
* Amy Wharton (liberal arts, WSU Vancouver), Excellence in Institutional Service
* Andrew Appleton (political science), Outstanding Achievement in International Teaching, Research/Creative Activities, and/or Service
* Mary Collins (Museum of Anthropology), Administrative Professional Excellence Award
Also recognized will be newly promoted faculty, outgoing department chairs, those who are retiring, and those who are celebrating milestones in years of service.
