VANCOUVER – The Mount St. Helens corridor on the WSU Vancouver campus is getting a new addition. The Engineering and Computer Science building is a 56,000 square foot facility that will provide research and teaching space for computer sciences and electrical engineering.
David Smith, director of Capital Planning and Development, said there is a strong demand for workers in those fields, and local companies have previously had to hire people from out of state to fill the demand.
The project is expected to be completed in fall 2011.
