PULLMAN – Imagine a patient comes to your pharmacy and, while you are talking, he or she starts to experience a serious health problem. WSU pharmacy students are learning what to do in such situations through the use of a human patient simulator.
The “Sim Man” is a life-size replica of an adult male that allows students to practice computer-programmed simulated emergencies in a safe environment.
The College of Pharmacy’s Sim Man visited second year pharmacy students in Pullman recently from his home at WSU Spokane, where he lives with similar manikins owned and used by the College of Nursing.
