Survey findings assist in program restructure

PULLMAN – Thanks to valuable feedback, an improved Faculty/Staff Fitness Program is on the way. An open meeting will be held to gather additional feedback on proposed changes 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, in CUE 518.

With 889 online surveys completed by WSU faculty and staff, results revealed a high level of interest in recreational and fitness programs and services on the Pullman campus. The survey, which closed on March 10, also showed that locker availability, towel service and use of a weight room were among the most important amenities to more than 70 percent of survey participants.

A summary of results is available online.

Also available is a proposed budget for the program as well as a proposed services draft with daily management and implementation suggestions and operation assumptions.

Primary facilities for the Faculty/Staff Fitness Program are Smith Gym and the Physical Education Building (PEB) located near the heart of the Pullman campus.

For more information on the proposed annual membership cost of $199 and other membership options beginning Aug. 1, visit http://facultystafffitness.wsu.edu.
