Insurance executive to discuss auto insurance paradox

PULLMAN –The executive vice president of COUNTRY Financial will deliver the 18th annual WSU College of Business Walton Lecture at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, in CUE 203.

 
The lecture, titled “The Value Paradox in Auto Insurance: Industry Implications,” is free to the public.
 
Speaker Doyle Williams, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of COUNTRY Financial, is an industry veteran with a broad background. He earned his MBA from the University of Illinois and holds professional designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Chartered Financial Consultant. He has held a number of executive positions in the operating and marketing arms of the COUNTRY organization. Additionally, he is a registered securities principal holding the Series 7, 63, 65, 24, and 26 licenses.
 
COUNTRY Financial is an Illinois-based insurance and financial services company that serves more than one million households and businesses throughout the United States. Williams is responsible for developing and executing all aspects of the organization’s marketing and sales strategy. He leads the management team, which oversees a sales force of more than 2,000 representatives. He is on the board of directors for COUNTRY affiliates Cotton States Insurance Group, Middlesex Mutual, and Holyoke Mutual. He also serves as chief executive officer of COUNTRY Capital Management Company, an internal broker-dealer.
 
Endowed through a donation from the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Washington to honor their past president, Max Walton, the Walton Lecture annually brings to campus a prominent leader in the field of risk management and insurance. The lecture is presented by the Department of Finance and Management Science.
