All systems are “go” in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) as it heads into the busiest time of the year for servicing students. 2013-2014 Financial Aid Awards started delivering to students’ ZZUSIS accounts in mid-July and will continue to do so throughout the semester. For students who don’t yet have aid, Emergency Short Term Loans will be offered when possible. Students needing to explore this option should contact their local financial aid office.
OFAS recognizes students and parents need answers quickly when they have financial aid or scholarship questions. To match their needs, OFAS has increased its capacity to respond by phone and email. Also, Pullman students have the option of making an in-person counselor appointment online through the new FinAid Scheduler verses waiting in line. Plus, Pullman students can quickly drop off documents at the Financial Aid Document Center or receive “self-help” in the Admissions Check-In Center. OFAS appreciates the WSU community’s patience as the office focuses its energies on serving students. Please remember to direct students to visit their local financial aid office, email, call, or check the OFAS website at WWW.FINAID.WSU.EDU.
