PULLMAN, WASH. – Cougs of all ages can join in the fun prior to every home football game this season by attending Kickoff at the Compton Union Building. The event, which will be held in the M.G. Carey Senior Ballroom overlooking Martin Stadium and the Palouse, features delicious food and family-friendly entertainment in a festive atmosphere to fuel your Cougar spirit.
The M.G. Carey Senior Ballroom is a buzz of pre-game activity during Kickoff at the CUB. Attendees enjoy a breathtaking view of the Palouse from the ballroom balcony and join in activities which cater to both children and adults. Numerous giveaways, a tailgate-toss, an appearance by the Cougar Marching Band, music, and large-screen TVs featuring football games from around the country provide entertainment for all.
University Catering provides two affordable menus to choose from: the Carvery Menu, offering a BBQ Beef Sandwich and a Roasted Turkey Breast Sandwich; and the Barbeque Menu, serving German sausages, hamburgers, garden burgers and BBQ pork ribs. Extras include BBQ baked beans, coleslaw, cookies, chips and soda. In addition, beer and wine service is provided by Southfork Public House.
Doors open for the first Kickoff at the CUB at 12:30 p.m., Sept. 14, three hours before the game against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. Following Kickoff events start three hours before home games on Sept. 21, Oct. 12, Oct. 31, and Nov. 23.
