PULLMAN, Wash. – As the new president of Monterey Peninsula College, Walter Tribley, a Washington State University alumnus, is focused on the students, funding and wiring-in the campus.
Tribley graduated from WSU in 1998 with a doctorate in biochemistry and biophysics. Before accepting the position in Monterey, he was the Vice President of Instruction of Wenatchee Valley College and chief administrative officer of the WVC-Omak campus.
Funding is a topic former president Doug Garrison emphasized and one Tribley intends to continue addressing.
“We have to find new ways to bring new revenue. Funding is one of the major hurdles and concerns,” Tribley said (Monterey Herald).
