I am pleased to announce that the budget office and human resources have finalized the details surrounding a one-time, two percent payment to eligible Washington State University employees. It will be included in the Dec. 10 paycheck.
The vast majority of WSU employees throughout the state have not seen a pay increase since 2008. In that same four-year period, the Consumer Price Index has increased 6.5 percent. This payment is aimed at helping to mitigate the impact of that real and growing gap.
