Former Hanford engineer and current Washington State Poet Laureate Kathleen Flenniken will be speaking about the culture of secrecy and lasting legacy surrounding the Hanford nuclear site on Oct. 18 at WSU Tri-Cities. Flenniken, a Richland native, kicks-off the WSU Tri-Cities College of Arts and Sciences 2012-2013 “Season.”
Flenniken will share her personal story and provide an inside look at the Hanford site. The presentation is a collaboration between the College of Arts and Sciences and Humanities Washington. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is free to the campus community and general public. It will be held in the West Building Atrium at the Richland campus.
