PULLMAN, Wash. – A workshop specifically addressing the processes and challenges of faculty promotion will be led by Fran McSweeney, regents professor of psychology and vice provost for faculty affairs. It is part of an effort to increase the transparency of faculty personnel policies.
The session originates in Pullman and will be available statewide via AMS Videoconferencing Services. Specific locations, more information and registration can be found at www.hrs.wsu.edu/tenure.
Entitled “Tenure and Promotion,” the workshop takes place at 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, October 10. It will address all aspects of faculty performance reviews with a particular focus on tenure and promotion.
Any faculty member who has an interest in these issues should attend, particularly those who are beginning their careers at WSU or who will come up for an important evaluation soon.
