The Center for Civic Engagement celebrates Civic Engagement Week April 16 22 as a record number of students, over 7,900, have completed over 70,000 service hours this academic year.
The week includes several service projects and educational tabling all week on the 1st floor of the CUB. The highlight of the week is the Cougs Care event, Wednesday, April 18, in the Compton Union Building Junior Ballroom, which includes a Gallery of Service from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where students display presentations of class projects, and other service projects from this year.
The Cougs Care Recognition Event continues at 12:30 p.m. Sam Reed, Washington Secretary of State will provide the keynote address where those receiving awards for outstanding service this academic year will be recognized. For more information visit cce.wsu.edu/cew.
