Dr. E. Kirsten Peters, also known as the Rock Doc, will be speaking Saturday, April 14, at 2:00 pm in the Hecht Meeting Room at Neill Public Library, with a book signing to follow. Using skills honed over decades, she now focuses her writing career on making science fun and accessible. She has appeared on Northwest Public Radio and her news column is syndicated to more than 200 newspapers. Published by WSU Press, her most recent book is Planet Rock Doc, a compilation of her favorite articles plus some new contributions. With her wry sense of humor, personal anecdotes, and knack for explaining the complex in simple terms, Peters explores a wide range of topics related to natural and applied sciences.
