During the month of February 2012, employees have the opportunity to obtain additional Life Insurance coverage on themselves and/or their spouse/registered domestic partner (RDP) without going through the underwriting process.
You are eligible for automatic approvals if:
– You were hired before January 1, 2012
– You had Employee Supplemental and/or Spouse/RDP Supplemental coverage as of December 31, 2011
– You, and/or your spouse/RDP, have no past underwriting denials
– Your Employee Supplemental coverage is less than the guaranteed issue limit of $250,000
– Your Spouse/RDP Supplemental coverage is less than $50,000 (assuming you have at least $100,000 on Employee Supplemental)
If you do not meet the above criteria, you are eligible to request additional life insurance at any time by participating in the insurance underwriting process.
