PULLMAN, Wash. Ed Miller, an Emmy award-winning journalist from television’s “America’s Most Wanted” program, will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the CUB Auditorium. The event is free to WSU students with identification and $5 for general admission.
Miller will take the audience beyond the police tapes to offer a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement.
He has researched, studied and chased violent criminals. He has reported on terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping, the Scott Peterson investigation and the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and arrest of Joran Van der Sloot.
He has won more than a dozen Emmy awards on subjects such as, “The Columbine School Shootings” and “Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer.” He won the Edward R. Murrow Award in 1995 from the Radio Television Digital News Association for his coverage of the Long Island railroad massacre.
Miller graduated from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in journalism and from Wayne State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
