When would I submit an ‘X’ grade via RONet? Instructor’s illness or absence.
If you are unexpectedly unable to assign midterm grades for your class before the deadline, assign a grade of “X” via RONet by the deadline.
An “X” grade is regarded as a place holder.
Be sure to submit the midterm grades to the Registrar’s Office prior to October 12 so that the “X” grade is replaced with a midterm grade.
After the deadline of October 12, 2011 5pm, midterm grades are not accepted and cannot be posted.
I have students who never attended or stopped attending my class. What grade should I submit via RONet?
Give all students listed in RONet the grade earned during the first half of the term. All names listed should be graded and not left “NG” (No Grade).
A student is more likely to take action with an “F” grade than with a blank grade.
Reminder: Midterm grades are required for all Pullman, Tri-Cities and Vancouver freshmen students with fewer than 28 credits and to first semester transfer students with fewer than 90 credits.
